What is Random Password Generator?
A password generator creates unpredictable passwords from the character classes you allow: lowercase, uppercase, digits and symbols. Randomness comes from your browser's cryptographic random number generator, not from a repeating algorithm, so the output is not guessable from previously generated passwords.
Length matters more than complexity rules: a 16-character random password is astronomically harder to crack than an 8-character one with extra symbols. The generator lets you tune length first, then exclude characters that specific websites reject, and everything is produced on your device — no password is ever transmitted or stored.
How to use it
- 1Set the desired length — 16 or more is recommended for important accounts.
- 2Toggle character classes on or off to match the site's rules.
- 3Click generate; each click produces a fresh random password.
- 4Copy it to your password manager immediately — the tool does not keep it.
Common use cases
- Creating a unique password for every new account so one leak never cascades.
- Producing initial credentials for a team member that will be changed after first login.
- Generating Wi-Fi keys or API test secrets that need to be typed or shared once.
Frequently asked questions
▸Are these passwords safe to use?
They are generated with your browser's crypto API and never leave the device. Safety then depends on storage: keep them in a password manager rather than in notes or email.
▸Why is length emphasized over symbols?
Each added character multiplies the search space exponentially. A long random lowercase password often outperforms a short one padded with symbols, and it is easier to type.
