What is PDF Merge & Split?
Merging PDFs is the everyday paperwork chore: combining scanned pages into one document, appending a signed page to a contract, or assembling an application from several exports. Splitting is the inverse — extracting a page range or pulling single pages out of a 60-page file.
This tool does both locally in your browser using PDF processing in pure JavaScript: your documents (contracts, IDs, financial statements) are never uploaded to any server. Reorder pages by drag, type page ranges like 1-3, 7, 10-12, and download the result.
How to use it
- 1Drop two or more PDF files onto the page to merge, or one PDF to split.
- 2For merging: drag the file cards to set the order.
- 3For splitting: enter the page ranges you want to extract.
- 4Download the merged or extracted PDF.
Common use cases
- Combining scanned contract pages into a single signed PDF before sending.
- Extracting just the relevant pages of a long report for a meeting.
- Assembling a job application: CV, cover letter and portfolio in one file.
Frequently asked questions
▸Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?
No. All parsing and assembly happens in your browser's memory. Files never leave your device, and the tool works offline once loaded.
▸Can it merge password-protected PDFs?
Only if you can unlock them first: open the file with its password in a reader and export an unprotected copy. Client-side merging cannot guess a document's password.
