What is PDF Splitter?
A PDF splitter takes one PDF and produces new PDFs containing only the pages you specify: a range like 1-5, a single page, or several discontinuous selections. Contracts, scanned packets and slide decks often arrive as one long file when you only need a few pages.
Processing happens locally with the same PDF engine your browser uses to render — the file is never uploaded, which matters for signed agreements and identity documents. Output keeps the original page quality byte-for-byte because pages are copied, not re-rendered.
How to use it
- 1Drop a PDF onto the page or pick a file.
- 2Enter the page ranges to extract, for example 1-3, 7, 12-15.
- 3Confirm the page count shown for the output.
- 4Download the new PDF — the original file stays untouched on your disk.
Common use cases
- Sending a counterparty only the relevant pages of a signed agreement.
- Extracting one certificate page from a 40-page scanned application packet.
- Pulling specific slides out of a large deck for a short meeting.
Frequently asked questions
▸Will splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied into the new file as-is, including text, vectors and images. Only the page list changes.
▸Can I split password-protected PDFs?
You need to unlock the file first with the owner password. Protection prevents page extraction, which is exactly what it is designed to do.
