What is QR Code Generator?
A QR code generator encodes text into a two-dimensional barcode that any modern phone camera can scan. Compared to a traditional barcode, a QR code stores hundreds of times more data and stays readable even when part of it is damaged or covered, thanks to built-in Reed-Solomon error correction.
This generator produces high-resolution PNG and SVG codes that you can download and print. Everything is rendered locally in your browser — the text you encode (URLs, Wi-Fi passwords, payment links) is never uploaded anywhere.
How to use it
- 1Choose a content type (URL, plain text, Wi-Fi or contact card) and fill in the fields.
- 2Adjust the size, margin and error-correction level if you need a specific output.
- 3The QR code updates live as you type — point your phone at the screen to test it.
- 4Download the result as PNG for screens or SVG for print at any resolution.
Common use cases
- Printing a QR code on a restaurant menu that opens the digital ordering page.
- Sharing Wi-Fi credentials at an event: guests scan instead of typing the password.
- Adding a scannable link to business cards, flyers or product packaging.
Frequently asked questions
▸Do the generated QR codes expire?
No. The QR code is a static image that encodes your text directly. It works forever as long as the encoded content (for example the URL) itself stays valid.
▸Which error-correction level should I pick?
Level L fits clean digital displays; level M is the balanced default; use Q or H when the code will be printed small, on fabric, or where it may be partially covered by a logo.
